Ms. Trang Tran is an expert on issues related to climate change, GHG inventory and green growth with over 12 years working with government agencies (MONRE, MOIT, MPI, etc.) development partners (UNDP, APEC, KOICA, JICA, ADB, etc.) in Vietnam.

Ms. Trang Tran has experience in climate change action plan development, greenhouse gas inventory, mitigations, MRV and green growth projects. At ministrial level, Ms Trang participated in developing MONRE’s climate change action plans and MoIT’s climate change and green growth action plans for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050. She also researched on M&E for Vietnam national climate change strategy and national adaptation plan (NAP) implementation. At local level, Ms Trang was project manager to develop provincial climate change action plans and green growth action plans for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 for nearly 20 provinces in Vietnam such as Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Hoa Binh, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, etc Related to GHG inventory and mitigation, Ms Trang participated in GHG inventory projects since 2015 with Departments of Natural resource and Environment in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong.

Ms Trang Tran graduated in Land administration and Post graduate in Sustainable Development.

Mr. Hoa Vuong is a national leading expert with more than 15 years of experience in technical management for projects on climate change, greenhouse gas inventory and green growth, working closely with government agencies and other stakeholders. He has experience in overseeing all engineering work and is responsible for the overall quality control of the project.

Mr. Hoa Vuong has worked as a consultant for projects such as: Developing Vietnam's Green Growth Strategy for the period of 2021 - 2020, with a vision to 2050; Building a dynamic base for the energy industry (focusing on PV solar power); Building the MRV system for the livestock industry in Vietnam; Update the National Action Plan on responding to climate change to 2030, with a vision to 2050; Inventory and Forecast of GHG emissions from Energy and Industry sectors in 2016; contributing Vietnam's Third Biennial Update Report (BUR3) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)”; Review policy and evaluate options to achieve permanent reductions in nitrogen oxide (N2O) emissions from nitric acid (HNO3) production in Vietnam; “Support assessment of social, economic and environmental impacts of provincial mitigation targets”; Construction Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to the construction sector; “Development of a feasibility study for the credit NAMAs, proposal of a carbon pricing tool and a roadmap for the application of market-based instruments (MBIs) in the field of solid waste management”; Strengthening the national greenhouse gas inventory system; “Research and build MRV system for climate change response activities in Vietnam”; Vertical integration and learning of low emission development. In addition, he has experience in implementing, monitoring and evaluating carbon projects, including community-based projects.

Mr. Hoa Vuong graduated in Energy Technology Engineering and Master in Sustainable Development.

Ms Lieu Nguyen is a local expert with more than 15 years of experience as coordinator and consultant for climate change related projects (Climate assessment, action plan, adaptation to climate change. climate and MRV), greenhouse gas inventories and green growth. She has experience in developing project implementation plans and developing relevant technical reports in action plans, climate change adaptation, MRV, greenhouse gas inventories (energy sector, agriculture, industry, land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) and waste) and green growth.

Ms. Lieu Nguyen has worked as an expert on projects such as: Develop Vietnam Green Growth Strategy for the period 2021 – 2020, vision to 2050; Researching and developing MRV system for climate change responding actions in Vietnam; Developing MRV system for livestock sector of Vietnam; Research and propose a monitoring - reporting - appraisal (MRV) system of activities to respond to climate change in Vietnam. In addition, she has experience in implementing low-carbon development projects in Vietnam. Besides, she also has in-depth expertise in environmental and resource geography, organic agriculture, agriculture adapting to climate change, etc.

Ms. Lieu Nguyen graduated with a BA in Geography, a Master in Economic and Social Geography and a PhD in Environmental and Resource Geography.

Mr. An Nguyen is a domestic expert with more than 17 years of experience in the field of research, implementation of energy saving projects and technical consulting for Thermal Power Plants, Cement, Steel in Vietnam. Performing energy audit consultancy for thermal power plants: Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Uong Bi. He has participated in teaching training courses for staff at thermal power plants under EVN, TKV, and PV. He also participated in teaching an energy management class organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Training on raising awareness and efficient use of energy organized by the provincial Department of Industry and Trade. He has been involved in teaching, training and research for many years in Thermal Energy Systems, Thermal Engineering and Energy Efficiency. Mr. An Nguyen participated in interesting fluidized bed and technology research classes; Research and install central heating system used in combination with solar panels for some hotels in Quang Ninh; Design boilers, heat exchangers, continuous vertical brick kilns, drying tunnels; Research on the combustion process of boilers in thermal power plants, cement; Research to improve the efficiency of thermal energy equipment in thermal power plants and in industry; Researching energy saving solutions and energy management systems; Studying the application of fluid mechanics to liquids and gases; Research on optimization of turbines (heat turbines, pumps, fans, compressors); Optimization of the thermal network and central heating system; Research on the process of burning mixed coal in thermal power plants; Research on co-firing biomass coal in thermal power plants; Research on circulating fluidized bed pyrolysis technology to create bio-oil, H2 and light HC gas.

Mr. An Nguyen has deep expertise in the field of economical and efficient use of energy. He has been a coordinator and consultant for a number of projects such as: Improving production efficiency and energy efficiency Viglacera Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Brick Factory, Bac Ninh; Development of technology and process for producing hydrogen-rich fuel gas and high calorific light hydrocarbons by catalytic reforming from biomass pyrolysis; Research on combined combustion of coal and wood pellets of biomass for boilers of thermal power plants. Besides, Mr. An Nguyen also has expertise in developing project implementation plans; Design, test equipment and thermal energy system; Consulting on application and building of ISO 50001 energy management model; Calculating energy resources; Auditing and making energy reports for energy saving projects; and Good use of some specialized software in the field of energy - environment.

Mr. An Nguyen graduated with a Bachelor of Energy Engineering and a Master of Science (energy technology).

Ms. Nga Do is an expert with more than 10 years of experience in the field of water resource management, environment and renewable energy. She has consulted and implemented many projects on the environment and renewable energy, specifically: Development of Technical Report for the Provincial Green Growth Action Plan (PGGAP) for ten provinces in industrial sector” funds by KOICA ; National report on the current state of sea and island environment in the period 2016 - 2020; Report on the state of the national environment: River basin environment (2018), Domestic solid waste management (2019) and during 2016-2020; Technical support for VASI in developing content of the National Action Plan on ocean plastic waste management to 2030; Project Vietnam actively prepares and participates in the development of a Global Agreement on Ocean Plastic Pollution; Promoting APEC innovative models in reducing and managing land-based debris into oceans for sustainable development; Promoting APEC innovative models in reducing and managing land-based debris into oceans for sustainable development; Green Growth Fund - Support the Ministry of Planning and Investment in inquire and defining relevant policies to ensure commitment of Vietnamese government to COP22; Green Growth Strategy Facility (GGSF)” funds by Belgium, project code VIE110411. Ms. Nga Do also has experience in teaching, training and research on cleaner production, environmental science and sustainable development.
